If you're unfamiliar with it, I strongly suggest giving it a listen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile listening to the song and hearing the way Kirk Franklin conducted the choir, I began to imagine something beyond the music.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI saw peace amongst our people.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne person was able to bring together so many different voices—each one unique, each one playing its own part—and somehow turn them into something beautiful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt made me think about how close we can be.\u003cbr\u003eHow connected we can become when we listen to one another.\u003cbr\u003eHow different voices don't have to sound the same to create harmony.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI wanted to paint what I saw in my mind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNot just people enjoying music, but people \u003cstrong\u003esharing something greater than themselves\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI wanted to capture that moment when we stop moving separately and, even if only for a little while, become one sound.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eAI was the medium. The feeling was mine.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eAll art was Inspired by real events and real people. I spent a lot of time hiding myself, this is a way for me to learn to appreciate what I've learn to hide. We are not all perfect and most of us can't be. The good, the bad and the Broken parts of ourselves that society has shunned or made us feel unworthy for carrying.
