Beautiful Noise — Digital Artwork

This piece was inspired by the famous Kirk Franklin song Melodies from Heaven—a song I believe many Black people know by heart. If you're unfamiliar with it, I strongly suggest giving it a listen.

While listening to the song and hearing the way Kirk Franklin conducted the choir, I began to imagine something beyond the music.

I saw peace amongst our people.

One person was able to bring together so many different voices—each one unique, each one playing its own part—and somehow turn them into something beautiful.

It made me think about how close we can be.
How connected we can become when we listen to one another.
How different voices don't have to sound the same to create harmony.

I wanted to paint what I saw in my mind.

Not just people enjoying music, but people sharing something greater than themselves.

I wanted to capture that moment when we stop moving separately and, even if only for a little while, become one sound.

AI was the medium. The feeling was mine.

All art was Inspired by real events and real people. I spent a lot of time hiding myself, this is a way for me to learn to appreciate what I've learn to hide. We are not all perfect and most of us can't be. The good, the bad and the Broken parts of ourselves that society has shunned or made us feel unworthy for carrying. These are their stories.
